For Organizations

You and your team can benefit from processes designed to work for all kinds of minds. Want better personal and organizational outcomes, all while being a leader in building just and neuroinclusive environments for your employees and/or clients? We offer custom workshops and consulting services to organizations of all shapes and sizes (e.g., corporations, small businesses, non-profits, etc.).

Consulting

Our consulting services can meet a variety of personal and organizational needs. Through our consulting work, we create actionable solutions for organizations (e.g., neurodiversity-friendly email templates and presentations, flexible scheduling systems, onboarding procedures, inclusive curriculum designs, etc.) making it the default to support peoples needs across the organization. Our goal is to design effective and affordable processes that create better outcomes for all employees and clients - whether disabled or not. Consulting is also available on an ad-hoc basis to support ND clients and employees.

Workshops

We also offer custom-tailored workshops where we teach leaders how to communicate and support their employees/clients in neuroinclusive ways, informed by both our lived experiences and by leading disability, relationship, and organizational behaviour research (e.g. phatic language differences, perception checking, servant-leadership styles, etc.). All workshops are facilitated by a neurodiverse team of 3-4 facilitators who can offer a variety of perspectives on questions that arise, and a 1 hour additional debrief that can be run synchronously or asynchronously to sustain training effects. Just some possible workshop topics include: improving inter-neurotype communication, personal and professional allyship, neuroinclusive recruitment/hiring tips, navigating disclosure at work, supporting neurodivergent jobseekers, and creating neuroaccessible in-person/online environments.

Testimonials

Eliana, David & Kalea were thoughtful, attentive and communicative throughout the workshop and our team was simply blown away. We made a list of immediate things to implement in our workplace such as having different seating modalities and communication cards. As well, I loved how we were given permission to come as we are and show up - no matter how full our cup was. It was easily one of the most authentic workshops I’ve ever attended in my life - truly!!
— Christina Wong, Co-founder of Employ to Empower
It was such a relief to have someone speak to what I need and how I work to colleagues without it being about me specifically. It is hard trying to adapt to neuronormative workplaces and working styles, and having a large group of colleagues all get an introduction to neurodiversity at once means I feel less hesitant about asking for small accommodations from the people I work with directly.
— B, Interac
Thank you for crafting meaningful, relatable information on the topic of neurodiversity. The information provided during the session is immediately applicable and as a result, I am a more thoughtful person/considerate of everyone I communicate with.
— Anonymous, Interac
Viability did an outstanding job in busting myths and using statistics and personal experiences to show how we need to change our approach with different neurotypes and become more knowledgeable and inclusive.
— Amoryn Witkin, The Social Reset
OMG. Thank you. Your presentation was so creative and your facilitation was so clear, engaging and inspiring. I learned a ton. So did the participants. And I appreciate that you created such a safe learning space!!!! Will you do an encore for another group?
— Joana Samuels, REENA
The practical education and advocacy work of Viability has been critical for our organization to better show up for and grow our neurodiverse community of young entrepreneurs by implementing best practices.
— Annika Lui, Acceleration Programs Director at the League of Innovators
This was an outstanding workshop. It was engaging and informative! It also made deep connections to our work and the topic of the workshop, so as to make it practical and give us take aways that we can implement in our work. Highly recommend.
— Sara-Marni Hubbard, Team Lead, Peer and Work Integrated Learning, University of Toronto
This was worth every minute. It was packed with great tips, thoughtful perspectives and framing. I took away a to do list for our leadership team!
— Gina Patterson, CPO, Venture for Canada
As an Autistic, Dyslexic, Dysgraphic, person with severe ADHD and sensory processing issues this was a really great summation of the topic and presentation of ways to make communication easier.
— Morrighan, IBM
As an NT person, I struggle with understanding how to interact effectively, respectfully and sensitively with ND people, including my own daughter. My daughter (a psych major graduating this year) heard a lot of this session, and loved it. For me, this validated and amplified the relevance and reality of what Viability shared.
— Brett W, IBM
I’ve completed two professional development sessions with Viability through my work for the University of Toronto, as well as attended a student-facing session. Each time I was incredibly impressed with their combination of expertise and lived experience through which the organization really speaks to the heart of the barriers neuro-divergent individuals are facing in the careers process. Following their sessions, I feel better prepared to work with employers to create neuroinclusive spaces, as well as with students to seek out those spaces and self-advocate. Their educating also reminds me of the value and benefit of showing up authentically in workplace spaces, and asks me to consider how I might use my power and privilege to create spaces where others feel it is possible to do the same. I cannot say enough how valuable working with Viability has been - highly recommend.
— Kelly S, Work Study Program Coordinator, University of Toronto
Viability gave us a very engaging, thorough, and well-informed talk introducing our lab group to a few different neurotypes and how we as a lab group and as individuals can be more accessible to a wider variety of neurotypes. There was a good combination of literature and lived experiences which went into the presentation and Eliana gave very competent and empathetic answers to questions that were posed. It is clear that Viability is very well-informed on the subjects they present about and I certainly feel our lab group is leaving better educated and with the tools to create a more inclusive environment for different neurotypes.
— Rachel, McMaster University
